Hi

I have an old potterton puma boiler, I dont know how old is it as we bought the house about a year ago but problem is that the we at times i would say 7 out of 10 times not get hot water on the first floor. Ground floor is perfectly fine but neither the shower nor the basin would have hot water. Specially in shower sometimes if the hot water does start, it turns to ice cold in a few seconds.

The boiler pressure looks ok as the bars are in green.
Other thing I have noticed is that we dont get hot water upstairs when the boiler would either not start or keep getting cut off. If we can hear the boiler working the hot water is constant but sometimes it switches itself on and decides to cut itself off.

Can someone please advise what this could be.

Thanks
