Pound gone up.

Does anyone actually read the analyst opinion or just the headlines.

A lot of this was priced in, sky was running a tally saying she would lose by about 200 votes all day yesterday.

All this defeat means is we are nowhere nearer than when we were when we invoked article 50.
Pound still did not bomb, as predicted with 100% certainty by the fed beige type Super brain economic experts you forever quote. So one does ask what else the doom and gloom mongers are predicting incorrectly in 5years when they cannot predict 12 hours ahead!!!NO Deal brexit,,,asap.

predicting incorrectly in 5years when they cannot predict 12 hours ahead!!!

When the referendum was mooted, the pound started to drift downward and some people said the pound would drop if "Leave" won the referendum.

It did, overnight from about $1.40 to about $1.30 the following morning, and that's where it is now.

So that forecast has weathered well, for three years.

I wonder what predictions DP has made.

Looks like you and your motley crew still don't understand economics or probabilities or how it's already priced on.

But tell me your predictions then?

Interesting that these guys think a Brexit deal will go through eventually:

Foreign exchange strategists with UniCredit are expecting Theresa May's Brexit deal to succeed in parliament on a second or third attempt, and this should spark a strong rally in Sterling against the Euro.

"Our base case remains that either the deal on the table or a slightly amended version of it will eventually pass in the Commons, at the second or third time of asking. We would expect sterling to rally across the board once it becomes clear that a deal will be found," says Katherin Goretzki, a foreign exchange strategist with UniCredit Bank.

Goretzki says should the deal pass the Pound-to-Euro exchange rate could rally and break through 1.1765.

But nobody knows.

STBXPM May is still holding out against any delay or suspension.

Possibly because over time the country's mood changes. Possibly because she still pictures herself as still bring in post when B-day comes.

Finding out more about what a Brexit might actually mean, and which outcome we might actually get, makes no difference to some.

So let me get this straight.

Dumbos on here are championing the fact the pound didn't nosedive as evidence that the forecasters are wrong.

Well, to quote

"The rally in the British Pound suggests markets are of the belief that the stars continue to align against a 'no deal' Brexit taking place on March 29"

So they are championing that the traders believe a No Deal brexit is less likely which is not what DP et Al want. So they are supporting something they are against.

"Prime Minister Johnson" brings a chill to the spine.

Pick one.

Not quite. It's more that the remainers on here wouldn't believe that it was said in the first instance. Unless I'm reading a different thread?

Do you not find it difficult to call others 'dumbos' when predictions have really quite often turned out to be rubbish?

So,all you remoaning nuggets think the UK and its economy is crap, but nothing to do with EU...You been living in Nania for 40years,,why not emigrate to Romania?.
