I pulled my washer dryer (Hoover Nextra) out today and the power cable got pulled tight (it's too short and I should have unplugged before pulling the machine out). I think as a result of this the power cable has got disconnected inside? The fuse blew and blew again when I replaced (before I even tried to test the machine). It is not working at all. I have now taken the top off the machine but can't see what is supposed to be connected to what.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thank you
I have pictures but can't upload

Is it possible to check the plug first? (Non moulded type).
Usually cable strain relief is better within the appliance than it is in the plug, but we really do need those pics!

They sure have had some tug.....!
They usually attach into a plastic connector block somewhere, which often has the connection symbols indicated. It can't be too far away from the third pic, other side!

That's what I thought but there's no obvious place.
Thanks very much for replying. Last question - would you say this is a job for an electrician or a washing machine repairer?
Sue

A washing machine repairer I guess but you will have the call out charge of course.......it should be a quick repair though.
