Have checked UK Power, & we have a power cut. So why are some things working. 80v at 1 socket.

Many modern electronic appliances use a SMPS power regulator, which will work over a very wide range of input voltages. That said, the lower the voltage the harder the SMPS has to work, and if run undervoltaged they may get hot. Your main concern here is the fridge, which uses an induction motor. I would go unplug that rightaway, as the motor will stall and burn out on an 80v supply.

On second thoughts, just hit the main switch and call your supply company. No point in risking damage to other appliances.

Fridge/freezer was ok.
Anyway power due to be restored at 8.30. Came on at 8.05.
I was just wondering why tv was working.
