Power devil 3.5 Hp would not start,

I think the engines on these are Briggs and Stratton clones - but please correct me if I'm wrong!
If you're still having bother - take the plug out and if its wet, crank the motor a few times before trying for a re -start. If its dry, tip a small amount of fuel down into the plug hole and see if the engine fires. If it does, its off with the carburettor for a clean - but be very careful not to damage any gaskets....they may be nigh on impossible to get. I would imagine this engine has the fuel tank lower than the carburettor?
