Power Flush Disaster

Would that valve be on the radiator ? The first time they came out they replaced the temperature control (Thermostat ?) on the radiator, and thinking about it never charged, that did not make any difference and it was then that they recommended the powerflush.
They changed just the sensor and not the whole valve ?
so the whole valve and not just the white bit ?
Oh dear, all that expense for one rad.
