Here's another question i've got while renovating my bathroom.
The power shower i have has got has two outlets, 1 for the overhead rose and 1 for the handheld rose, these are connected using standard copper 15mm compression joints using olives.
The hot and cold feeds look different, they have a non return valve in them i guess, although they are threaded they don't seem to have the right shape for an olive to fit tight. Am i right in thinking that they should be connected using the flexible connectors?

useally 15mm x 1/2" mi fittings.

or fi fitting

Does the fi fitting come in 15mm both ends as a normal 15mm conpression bolt fits the hot and cold feed perfectly......it's only the olive that doesn't fit properly

The thread on the power shower feeds goes onto a 15mm nut so guess it's a internal thread.

if you can screw a 15mm nut on then the shower has a external thread.
so you need a fi fitting to screw on to the shower.

you can get them in same size both ends or different size each end.

Have now got the fi fittings, can you tell me if I just use PTFE tape around the threads or should I use a rubber washer at the end thats goes onto the shower connections?

This photo is of the connector for the handheld shower rose, it has to go through 12mm plasterboard and 12mm stone tiles so the thread showing in the photo is what is left afterwards, there's about 5mm of thread left, if I use PTFE tape should this be ok?

won't be any good.
have you already plasterboarded, can you still get access into the stud wall from the shower side ?

use a wall plate fitting and secure to a noggin.
the 1/2" fitting will protrude through the plasterboard but not the tile.
fit plasterboard, tile then screw the shower connector into the wall plate.
don't need the nut as the wall plate is secured to a noggin.

Have you a picture of the wall plate?
Also where would I get them in Essex?
