Hi, I ve just fitted an over cooker hob extractor fan, its fitted into a cupboard above the hob, it has a 3 pin plug and I thought I would run a spur from the cupboard next to it which has all the plugs for the fridge freezer cooker, now I see these plugs are fuse switches, will I still be able to run a spur of of one of these fused switches? Thanks for any advice.

Here is a photo of the switches.

OK now you need to find out what they are protected by in your consumer unit. Pressuming there are mob's then switch them off one at a time & identify which one supplies each one in the cupboard.

They are all on the socket ring except the hob which has it's own. The consumer unit is RCD protected.

You should be OK then I would suggest you spur off the output from the spur marked fridge

If you connect to the load side of one of those FCUs then you need to check the load on the chosen circuit. Make sure the FCU’s fuse can take the extra load.
Personally, I would look at connecting to the heater.

Of course, if the FCU supplies are the ring final (they should be) then just spur off the supply side of any into a new single socket outlet for the extractor.

Ok thanks, I'll run 2.5mm t&e from the supply side of the heater fcu to a new single socket. Thanks again.
