Just moved into a new house. It's the top flat in a two storey house. I have a shed with power to it. The shed needed to come down and has been replaced. The shed power supply was a cable from the house, plugged into a socket at that end and wired into a double socket in the shed. The wire was suspended between the buildings over a distance of 30 feet. I had planned to put a catenary wire up to support the cable. I only want to power 1, 4 ' strip light and a socket. Is it acceptable to take this power from a plug and socket in the house and should I have a contact breaker in the shed?
Cheers.
