Powermax 155 again!

Dear sirs

Ive been looking through the forums as i also have a problem with a powermax 155x boiler and was hoping you would be able to advise us. For the past couple of weeks, if the heating is on, after about an hour it makes a sound as if the water is starting to boil and the tap water is incredibly hot. Woke up this morning to find that the water will heat but the CH will not come on. The green ignite light will only fire if we hit the switch to hot water cont. Im Cold! Any help would be much appreciated.

I only wish I would be called to more of these as I hardly ever see them and I like complicated boilers which others have problems with!

sounds like a faulty cold start stat to me

To be honest with you Tony there not that complicated really but for some reason people dont want to touch them including BG
