Powermax 155x no central heating but h/w

Hi, I have turned my stat on for 1st time and whilst I get a click from the stat, the boiler does nothing not even a sound.

Not wanting to play sob story but have a pregnant wife who is cold.

Wondered if this known issue I can resolve?

Hot water work. Programmer works.

The heating pumps probably seized after the summer. Clout it with a mallet or put a towel under it remove the big slotted screw and see if you can turn it with a screwdiver.

Your heating pump has possibly only stuck (winter - we loved these!) remove the the vent cap, the silver one and spin it with a screwdriver. Some, not lots, of water will escape but be brave.

It should be fine for a few weeks , but you will need a replacement not long afterwards. A complete drain down and a Grundfos 15/50 pump & inhibitor will fix it - when this happens.

Thanks all, i've removed the silver cap but the assuming you spin it using a screw driver it appears the head is like a crescent shape that no screw driver will fit. Almost as if it needed an Allen key but half has has come off???

The pump is very very hot and doesn't appear to be vibrating as does the heating one.

This Powermax has a cold start stat that fails. Check if you have voltage to the pump before messing/whacking it.
