By mistake I turned the main power supply off for few seconds and when turned it back on noticed warning on the CPU display " CPU low battery ". I ordered a new battery for CPU, meantime I was able to arm and disarm the alarm but after almost 24 hrs Alarm has completely gone dead there is no light on the CPU display. I have tried to contact the installer he has gone on holidays meantime thought I will ask if I should try replacing the battery ? and why the system has gone completely dead ? Any help will be appreciated.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL.

doesn't make sense that a few seconds of power off.

Is this on a plug/ fused spur (unswitched or switched)...

I would be checking that it is turned on and then fuses at this point as if its turned on it should be powered up.

No mains, evetually the battery runs down and you have nothing at all.(which is what you have?)

Thank you for your reply. Yes it is on a plug , it is plugged in a wall socket and can be turned on and off . I swapped 5 amp plug fuse and it works fine on other devices. Are there any more fuses to check ?

Lastly the system is about 3 years old and during this period there have been few power cuts which may have taken some life out of the battery. Thanks again
