Premier Elite Power Down

Hi,

Just when I thought I knew what I was doing to add SmartCom to my Premier Elite 24...

I need to power off my Premier Elite 24 (to upgrade to latest F/w so I can add the SmartCom. However, when I cut the AC and disconnect the battery (as per the instructions) the external sounder goes off. I can't clear the alarm - because the panel and keypads are dead.

Is there a way to switch off the power without waking up the neighbours?

Errr that the idea....to stop a burglar just disabling your alarm ! Anyway depends on what bellbox you have ...Or connect the bell + and - to your battery while you flash your panel ....
What firmware is it ?

OK. Thanks. Manual says power panel down before connecting flasher then power it back on. I guess they are just being cautious. Worked OK just plugging in while powered on.

SmartCom now connected. Now just to to get Connect (& Wintex) going.
