Hello, My boiler is more than 20 years old and will need replacing soon. I'm replumbing my downstairs toilet and while I'm doing that I was planning to put in a suitable pipe to take the condensate from a new boiler and a new expansion pipe in 22mm copper and a new 15mm feed pipe back to my loft where both the hot water cylinder and expansion tank are.
Looking at diagrams of suggested central heating layouts the Expansion and feed both go back to the flow side of the boiler. My question is, to avoid running in two new pipes can I just join the expansion and feed in the loft or do they need to be kept separate until very near the boiler.
