currently looking at my mates redring 500 shower he has changed the shower head and as far as i can see hes activated the pressure blow off (a small black tube behind the shower flex outlet but it will not stop blowing off now anyone got any ideas?

there is a rubber type disk in it that needs to be replaced AFTER you find out why it blew

As kev said need to replace the prd.
it comes as part of the outlet pipe on the expressions 500 range.
if it failed when you changed the shower head don't reuse that head.
some of the cheapo head restrict to much and blow the prd.
try sticking with genuine parts.
