Preventing bees nests in attics

I know it's not very likely to happen in the current weather , but does anyone have any tips on preventing bee infestations in attics ?

I've just been up in my attic and there's been bees there in recent times - lots of dead bees about and some honeycomb formed in one area of my insulation...

Thanks - I take it that you would staple or glue this on the inside (attic side) of the soffit vents ? I'll have a look - I think it will be a bit tricky fitting this as it's difficult to reach the soffit vents from the attic.

Yes stapled on or fixed with a lath or similiar, and as you say access can be a problem. If it's impossible it may be easier to fit a surface mounted vent cover.
