Has anyone got the average price per kw output for "light oil" (28 second oil) . I can't get this info from oftec and oil comes in litres!

Also LPG if you have that up-to-date figure?

These are approx due to fluctuations.

Gas- 2p per kwh
Bulk LPG - 4P per kwh
Heating oil -2.5p per kwh

Source -Domestic Energy Assessors training manual. :D

Unfortunately wiped out by the shocking rise in the price of oil.

One litre of 28 sec oil burnt at 100% efficiency gives 10.35 kw. If you're paying the average price for your oil, around 48p per litre plus vat (www.boilerjuice.com), this gives around 5p per kw inc vat.

However your boiler will not be 100% efficient, so multiply the 10 kw by your boiler efficiency: ours is 85% so that bumps the price up to 6p per kw incl vat.

I don't know the other costs. Gas will be published on the internet, you'll probably have to ring an lpg supplier for their cost.
