Hello all. I wondered if anyone could help me with a Vectis door lock peoblem or if I need to contact a locksmith ?
I have two exterior timber doors, both 15 years old and installed when the house was built.
But the rear door has suddenly become difficult to close and open. The reason is that the "catch" is not being fully drawn back when the door handle is turned down. I can still push the "catch" right in with my finger but of course it springs straight out again.
It is a "full length" door locking mechanism and when it is closed I am able to lock it with the key as per normal. The inside door handle plate has 2 screws in it. If I take those screws out is the handle mechanism able to be withdrawn from the rest of the unit ?

Any help and/or advice would be very much appreciated.
