I have a statsman flowsure + oil combi boiler, the temp is hitting 90 and the pressure at about 3 bar or more. is this right? it seems a bit high to me. also it drips quite a lot out of the vent in the wall. the thermostat on the boiler is turned right down. we haven't got the heating on any more and its still spanking oil. any suggestions to what it could be?

Take yer pick.

Why a new boiler?

You say its 3bar and dripping are you repressurising ?
could the filling loop be open?

but it sounds like a pressure vessel problem.
Not a new boiler.

drain some water out so it reads 1bar
disconnect the filling loop

see what happens and reply here :D

The worst oil boiler in existence. If you can afford to, change it while you can.
