Proud Parents

 He's only 12!

But huge with it!! He looks more like 16...

In the piccy, he's 7th from the left on the front row, kneeling down.

Pity its not an olympic sport, as B88 said you must be so proud.

Also be sure to put any cups or trophies he wins in a safe place for years to come, i've lost all mine, all i have now are the memories.

Still, you will remember them and if you tell all your family, the legacy will live on!

Pred: What was it you did to win the cups?

And Bumble: Have you done anything similar?

I was never that sporty, you see, so I'm thrilled he's doing really well at something & doing something he'll remember for the rest of his life.

As a school boy i raced bikes, me and a mate were pretty good, we agreed to do the 72 olympics before turning pro, my dad got posted back to the barren icy wastelands of the remote regions of the north, aka Scotland   things didn't quite go to plan and i bought a motorbike, then i did tug-o-war in the RAF and got some more cups to gather dust on the mantlepiece, one of the best pulls we had was against Reedham Vikings, they were more or less unbeatable back then, we lasted about 10mins before the inevitable happened. :?

Am very pround indeed!

However, he and his team mates are not winning!!!

We expected as much, really. Lacrosse is huge is the States and not so much over here. The amount of time they spend training by comparison is huge and they can get Lax scholarships over there, so a 12 yo US player is much further foward than a 12 yo brit. Despite giving our lads intensive training in the run-up to their departure....

Still, as I always say, you never stop learning. And the experience is something else.

I think it'll do him the world of good in many ways.

its a fantastic opportunity for him, and he will remember it for years whatever the outcome, nice to have a wee fel good factor post, we should ensure there are a minimum amount of good stories for us every week to lift the gloom and doom, did i mention my daughter got married the other week

Brilliant!

How old is she?

Are they going on Honeymoon?

Did her Dad do any embarrassing dancing?

What's the wedding gossip?

Who caught the bouquet?
