Thermostatic bath mixer has started throwing out luke warm water on the hottest setting, I've been told its a pressure issue so I'm going to try and install a PRV on the cold water feed.

Can anyone advise me on a suitable location to install the PRV?

Next to the boiler where the cold feed comes out or as close to the bath as possible?

I would prefer it next to the boiler as I can keep an eye on the PRV as I've heard they are prone to leaking, the other option is above the bathroom loft space where if it was to ever leak no one would know till the ceiling came crashing down.

Are you getting hot water elsewhere? If yes, then I would suspect bathroom tap is playing up

If a system was working previously, is not now, then there is a defect.

Has your boiler serviced as could be a boiler issue too
