Hi all

I moved to a new flat but my old flat had the same boiler- pulsacoil a class . I noticed high energy consumption on my electricity supplier app. I noticed no consumption when the boiler is set up to heat and random 2h high consumption at random times - evening or when asleep. Can this be faulty timer. I have plenty of hot water but the price is very high on day tariff. Also do i need this timer switch on ?

Off-peak supplies are not all the same, the original Economy 7 used a white meter, and there was no need for the user to have any timer, but as time has gone on, we have had many systems, including the teleswitch which is about to be switched off, and today we even have a problem working out the time, where some systems in summer use daylight saving time, and others still use unified time constant (was called GMT) and although I can find instructions they do not help, as don't know which of the diagrams your system follows.
