Puma 80 e

Has anyone got an idea for this one ?
Boiler switched off electrically,open a hot water tap and the noise from the boiler sounds like very aggresive water hammer.

How's the mains water pressure?

Very good,however cranking down the inlet pressure does not stop this noise.

And if you use your mechanical stethoscope then what does that indicate?

Yes using the mechanical stethascope the noise seems to eminate from the D.H.W housing,but its hard to tell as the noise does resonate all over the pipework.
