Hi there all....I have been using the forum for a while for reference and it has proved invaluable - especially when I was fixing my uncooperative c-heating!
Anyhow...I did a search on this topic (pumping hot water to baths) and couldn't find anything so ...here.goes......
Last year I rennovated our bathroom....ripped out the horrid old shower cubicle etc and installed a nice p shaped bath with whirlpool....all nice! When I fitted the bath I didnt fancy the idea of a basic tap arrangement and bought surface mounted taps and a combined filler/overflow that also controls the pop up plug. As there was so much pipework to do this I used flexible pipe with the compression ends. All worked well and the cold works a treat...really powerfull. The hot on the other hand is very slow.....the pipework is restrictive and having read about it since it seems that this type or pipework is better for a combi-boiler with a pump....we have a open system with a tank. The tank is accross the landing in the airing-cupboard. I thought about reaising the cold water tank....but theres not a lot of room.
We have an electric shower....and this is fine.....the question is .....(sorry for the long winded introduction)...... I know that you can get pumps for power showers (twin impeller?) but can I fit a simple single pump under the bath the speed up the filling. The wiring for the whirlpool is under there, all fused etc. Can I fit a pump 'inline' from the copper pipe to the pump and from the pump to the tap? If so....any idea where I could get one?
Thanks for taking the time to read (all) this
Thanks in advance
Karl
