We had a extension, which included a new loft butting up to the old loft, currently there is no access between them as there is a purlin, membrane and rafters in the way, the tiles have been removed

Correct me if I'm wrong, the wife would, the rafters are only there to support the weight of the tiles

The perlin is there to support the rafters with the tiles on

So in theory I could remove the rafters allowing access from loft 1 to loft 2?

As far as I can understand the orange bit can be removed as it was just holding up the tiles which are no longer there and the perlin is there to support the rafters, which would mean the dwarf/supporting wall could go too

Should I up my house insurance?
