In my project, there this an internal brick wall 100mm thick. A strut 75x100 sits vertically support a purlin via this wall. I want to removed this wall and put a beam to support the strut and purlin. The mirror image of this wall has been done donkeys years ago. They used 2x50x200mm span 3500. There is no cracks. I don't know how to calculate point loads, and can find any tables on internet. Do you think BC will accept this has proof it works?

Cheers

No.

He's right - they will almost certainly ask you for figures to justify the beam. For one thing, you would not know the grade strength of the new beam compared with the existing.
It also depends on where along the beam the strut goes.
