Can anyone tell me what the problem is with these - apart from old age. Is there some mechanical reason in their construction why these aren't as good as the modern switched types? Or is it that the more modern ones have better electrical characteristics so far as disconnection times.

Anyone? - or is everyone at The Derby? - Be lucky if you are

If you've got them,no need to change them. However if your installation is generally old, it may benefit from being updated, and this is a good time to fit a new CU with more modern devices.

I've often found these push-button Wylex type to be reluctant to be reset, which can be a problem for 'the lady' in the house (I'll get a slap for that)
