When using a push fit fitting, is using a pipe cutter to cut the pipe a must? I have a pipe in location and its been tiled over, but I might need to use push fit now, what are my options? it was cut with a saw.

A pipe slice is best, but providing the cut is square, clean and the burrs are removed, all should be well.
