pvc soffits/fascia on rendered wall

Can anyone advise on a new build if walls should be rendered and then butt pvc soffit to render or fit pvc soffit first and render up to underside.
Thinking about rain getting behind into blockwork wall.

soffits are normally fitted and rendered up to.

When we got new soffits, gutters, etc, (and we have a tyrolean render) I sealed the gap between the two with an appropriate sealant. Not fun up me ladder in the wind but its done now!
