I have this philosophy with clothes and children that outwardly seems to make sense. But then I stopped a moment tonight to think about it & it doesn't make sense anymore:

I would say to the boys - let's have a fresh shirt, socks & pants (boxers to mlb!) everyday because they've been next to your skin & will need changing frequently.

But when it comes to pyjamas, they last a whole week. Huh??

I think the "last a week" is OK as long as they aren't sharing the bed with anyone who is sensitive about these things.

Having a bath before bedtime always helps. One of my ex-wives used to complain if I did that. She'd acquired a taste for smelly men

I've had quite a number of ex-wives

None of them my own.

how often are the sheets changed? if it got right down to it....there's probably more "critters" in the linens than on the pjs.

Changed once a week.

I sleep without clothing too, but the boys wake up cold if they do.

Ex-wives? I've only got one....

I wake up cold every morning! My mum wont let us have the heating come on at 5am for when im up at 6 or 7. Something to do with the pipes under her bed creaking when the heating comes on. Then I have to WAIT for hot water to come through so I can shave (instant combi boiler).

I wake up at 6 and glance at the olde Galileo, and all the balls are at the top! My room has a bay window which looses a hell of a lot of heat. I keep bottles of pop on the floor there, its so cold. You could probably keep milk there.

I used to have an oil rad in my room as supplemental heat in the worst winter weather, but even thats been nicked to heat the dining room, which was redecorated MONTHS ago and the radiator never put back on!

Makes me wonder what you're doing on the DIY-forum

you'd better buy yourself a new electric heater and a timeswitch.
