I have brand new enforcer v11 installed with 4 wired pir and 3 wireless pir and external sounder.

On night set partial alarm mode. I have 5 false alarms in last 8 weeks. All happening with 3 downstairs wired PIRs, one of the 3 wired PIRs triggered on each instance. No pets, all doors and windows shut, no pests and no error messages on app. There are no cobwebs either near sensor. No-one from family walking downstairs to trigger sensors.

This is making no sense as it is disturbing us and neighbours. Installer says no wiring errors and will try reducing sensitivity.

Please can you advise on what else I can do.

Hi Tiger,

Sorry what do you mean. Night mode activates zone b which is all wired PIRs downstairs.

A spider with good time keeping,1.31am,then 1.35am on separate nights.vacum around sensors.
Agree with Tiger you can only have 2 wired pirs, unless a zem expander is fitted.
Check voltage on aux output of pir.

One thing which I forgot to mention. Installer used old existing wiring which is around 2004 to connect wired pirs to Zem extender. Will that be were the fault is.

I have brand new enforcer v11 installed with 4 wired pir ( connected to Zem < I presume the white box above panel>via old wiring) and 3 wireless pyronix pir ( upstairs) and wireless pyronix external sounder.

The 4 wired PIR downstairs form zone 1. This is what is activated in part alarm at night. 3 of the 4 wired PIRs are setting off false alarm.

My installer is talking about reducing sensitivity. This issue is creating lot of nuisance to me and neighbours.

These 3 are the incriminating pirs which are going off. I don't recollect installer mentioning voltage. Another person from work was mentioning resistance in wiring. Since it is not new wiring I am not sure whether that is causing issues. Especially when wireless have shown no anomaly.

I have 2 children under 5. My little girl would simply not wake up this morning as external sounder is just outside her window out double glazed window. But it did scare her when it went off yesterday.

Need to get the old multi meter out and check those voltage readings at the pir first.

What will be the solution.

I must admit I am giving hope with my installer. 1st he wanted to charge me callout fee as its 8 weeks from installation.

And on multiple occasions he said he is not electrician. He works for big commercial alarm company and does domestic installation as side job. Until problem all was OK. He has 100% reviews on chechatrade and mubuilder.
