Slightly odd question.
We've moved into a 1930s house that had a terrible DIYer owner before who had added a dormer on the back of the house in the loft.
The house is a bit small for the loft conversion so he brought the stairs into the master bedroom.
It's ugly, inconvenient and generally all-round bodged. We don't need the space and it certainly isn't adding value to the property at the moment.
Longer term I'd like to have it removed and restore the roof to it's former state. The loft room floor is supported by wooden joists that rest on the external and internal brick walls.
Just interested if anyone has a ballpark figure of what this might cost. Essentially the work would be to remove the existing loft room, supporting beams and then replace the remaining hole with standard roof (including timbers, felt/sarking and tiles).
It's a 1930s detached property with tiled roof.
