Hi,

what are the regulations (Scotland) for an electrical socket on a wall under a sink / close to sink drain and trap. I'm moving w/m and d/w to under worktop below sink (not under the bowl, obv!), and need to put power onto that wall (standard drywall).

Cheers

Have the units run on fused spurs above the counter line with cable drops down below the counter to a flex plate connection.

This allow you to turn the unit off above the counter should anything happen.

Water and juice = woes. Keep the connection points below the counter well away from the floor (potential flooding) and away from all waste and feeder water pipes.

Sockets and fused spurs above counter should be a min 600mm away from water source, I always go further- 600mm from edge of sink and drainer.
If the client has a shower hose rinse tap, then 600mm from that at it's max extension.

Thanks Chris

Would be ideal, but counter runs along underneath a window, so no room.
