I used to use twin brown years ago, don't see it much now....if I remember correctly one of the browns was completely brown and one had a white inner (if you looked at the end) I think.

You may well be right (and that would be sensible) - but, as I said, I've never used it (never seen a need), and therefore wouldn't know.
