Quick-step laminate flooring... Fitting Tool Advice

Hi,

I have just bought some quick-step laminate flooring and hope to put in down tomorrow.

I bought a laminate fitting tool plus expansion blocks from homebase to do the job but I have just read the instructions from the laminate flooring packaging saying that you need to use the 'Quick-step fitting kit to fit the uniclic flooring'

Would a standard non- Quick-step fitting kit do the job?

James, I used a Homebase laying kit on IKea click-fit laminate. I originally bought the kit to use on Hbase's own flooring but failed miserably to lay it. Oddly enough, the kit worked fine with the Ikea stuff and the floor looks great. I'd guess all the kits are pretty similar.

use a smal offcut of board/fit it into the tongue/groove and off you go
