Quinetic Switch pairing with App

Hi. Any Quinetic Switch experts on here?

I have a Quinetic dimmer receiver (QURWM1) controlling my outside lights. Its linked to the 'Kinetic Switch' app and had been working fine for past 2 years.

The app lost connection with the receiver and I tried everything to re-pair it but no joy. In one last try I deleted the receiver from the app and thought I would be able to pair it back up again.

Since then my phone point blank refuses to find the receiver. I have tried every pairing mode possible, I have tried every combination of pressing the pair button on the app possible, I have confirmed I am on 2.4 Wifi, I have a solid stable connection etc. Ive tried reading and re-reading the instructions but no matter what I try it just cycles through the process and never finds my receiver.

Anything obvious I am missing? I figured maybe the receiver is just knackered but given how reliable (and not overly cheap) these are I was hoping for some other enlightenment!

Possibly a dumb question but did you press the pairing button on the receiver after pressing the pairing button on the app?

No such thing as a dumb question in this case!
However, yes pressed the button after pairing. Pressed the button before pairing. Pressed it for 1 second, 5 seconds, 10 seconds and every combination in between
It was so simple when i first installed it. I cant believe how much effort Ive put into this now!

I will not be beaten!

Probably suggesting things you might have already tried (even indirectly by your multiple sequences tried). Try resetting/clearing the pairings? Try AP mode? I'm just looking at the manual for the different pairing methods and operating modes.

So after trying everything I bought a new receiver. Wired in, paired up and working within 30secs. Turns out the Quinetic products are not indestructible after all! Shame I didn't keep the receipt for the warranty
