Somebody got the country.
There is another country, not mentioned , which also only has the same vowel, but it's not that.

Clues so far are
cats
up
European city
high
 
... and wikipedia says Cyprus is an island country. And "y" isn't technically a vowel, so it could have been there somewhere, but it's not.

AFAIK Spain is not officially known as the Kingdom of Spain, but the term is (officially) acceptable.

As an aside, according to the Unbelievable Truth, Spain is known as the “Land of Rabbits.” It was named by the Carthaginians somewhere around 300 B.C. They called it Ispania (sphan, meaning “rabbit.”) Evidently, there was an abundance of rabbits that roamed the land back then. https://www.internationalcuisine.com/about-food-and-culture-of-spain/
