Are the Falklands and Gibraltar British or Argentinian and Spanish?

They may be British dependencies (overseas territories) but the Falkland Islands are in the continent of South America.

It looks like the Canaries are considered to be part of Europe even they are "literally" next to the continent of Africa (and miles from Europe).
