2 bedroom mid terraced villa in renfrewshire, currently has gas warm air heating, (no nostalgia punters please), looking for a quote to rip it out and fit around 6 or 7 trv radiators and a vaillant or worcester bosch combi (analogue or digI plug in dial will do) with all the electrics and shenanigans that go with fitting a new system from scratch and removing the elecy boiler and the water tank ...realistic quotes recommended or any hints and tips to reduce the price e.g get rid of the tank yourself but too scared to fit radiators myself soz (got terrible fear of water),

kind regards

gav

ps..i have looked at this site recently and really appreciated the input that some ex and not so ex engineers put into some of the answers and some of the bull*hit that you get but the fact that you take ,look and give impartial advice on this site indicates that even the most experienced human with a lot of knowledge is willing to pass it on to another human being reassures me....cheers

My rule of thumb quotation would be about £4600 inclusive.

However, that could be significantly reduced if you are willing to do all the labour intensive bits like lifting floorboards and drilling holes.

I dont see why you cannot fit the rads to the walls.

Tony

No bullshit here, now off to try to fix my freezer stat!

Get me 2 tickets for the Italy game and i will see what i can do.

Anywhere between 3 and 4 grand is your ball park figure get the guy to disconnect warmair but rip it out yourself ask him what else you can do providing your not going to get in the way . Most people will alter price down

suppose i could fit the rads to the walls , and good idea about ripping out the warm air system, but it is a monster of a thing, i take it the corgi engineer i get will tell me where the best places to hook the rads will be?

Rough all in price would be about £3600 + VAT with all rooms cleared.

If I had to clear rooms first then add another £200.
