R8 installed in 2014. Maintenance?

Hello everybody,

back in December 2014 I installed a Veritas R8 (Rkp, external bell box and two sensors, one inside and one outside). End of 2017 I changed the backup battery in the main unit.

What should I expect to need maintenance next (after 5 years)? The battery in the bell box? Or a sensor failing (Pyronix)?

I’d walk test the system every so often to check that the devices are working. Also set the system and trigger it.
Disconnect the 230v supply and leave 10 minutes. If the battery holds then all seems ok.
Replace the control panel battery on its 5 year birthday as this is recommended by most manufacturers.
