Hello,
I've had palermo valves fitted on all my radiators. I bought these from screwfix. One has already been replaced and another has a slight leak coming from the top of the cross head. When I replace this one would it make any difference by fitting Wickes valves instead? The wickes valves look the same as the screwfix valves but are twice the price. Anyone know if the wickes valves are better quality and worth fitting or does all this type of valve leak?

Thanks
Craig

Thanks very much Mickg! so it's not the type of valve I've got but the quality of the valves. Where can I buy these valves you mentioned. So the wickes valves arn't any better than the screwfix valves?

if you take the cap of rad valves have a look at the spindle. Easy way to tell a decent valve V cheap valve is a good one will have 2 nuts around the spindle. One nut is the core of the valve, and smaller one above is gland nut. cheap valves dont have the gland nut
