We have a radial circuit in our house wired in 4mm cable with 30amp breakers at the board.

I have discovered that sockets that have been added at a later date possibly by previous owner are wired in 2.5mm cable.

Is it possible to reduce the 30amp fuses to ones more acceptable for 2.5mm cable?

If there is only one socket per 2.5mm² spur then there is no problem from an overload point of view.

You can add more as long as you take them from the 4mm part of the circuit and not from one of the 2.5mm spurs.

I would advise doing all your additions in 4mm cable to make any further expansions in the future easier.

That was my next question!

The additional socket i wanted is back to back with a 2.5mm spur from the end of the radial
