Hi all,

I've found a very small leak in the bleed valve in one of my radiators. I've tried nipping up the valve and whilst it's improved the problem remains.

I've ordered a replacement valve already but my question is how do I prepare this for a changeover?

Do I use the TRV to shut off supply to the rad and then unscrew, drain and replace? If so how to I refill afterwards? Does the system take care of that?

Turn off both ends of the radiator.
Remove air valve and apply a few turns of PTFE tape to end of thread where rubber washer is.
Refit valve, open both ends of radiator and check for leaks.
Fill system if needed.

No need for any new parts.
