I have a few radiators from our oil central heating system that are going to get powder coated.
But the guy who is doing the job wants the brass bits that come out of the bottom of the radiator and screw into the valve from the copper pipes removed, is this okay to do and is it only a large allen key needed to do the job.
When putting the brass bits back onto the radiators is there a right and left hand one or does it not matter?

i have called the parts brass bits as i don't know the proper name for them, sorry.

Large Allen key should remove them, might be tight though. Doesnt matter which way round they go, assume you realise the need for PTFE on the threads when refitting the tails!

Thanks Hugh.
Yea i was going to use some PTFE tape, so the proper name for the brass bits are tails. :)
