Hi

I woke up today to find a small puddle of water under the radiator next to the front door. This happened couple times before. I've cleared the water up & can't see a leak.

At the weekend I saw pressure was down a little on the boiler so I topped it up to over 1 bar. Would this cause the leak?

Another question is could I turn the radiator ? It's ear the front door and heat escapes through it. I would be happy to leave it off all the time but also don't want to hide a fault.

Thanks very much.

The drop in pressure is likely to be the leak from the radiator, you can turn off the radiator from the valves at each end and drain rad, if one side has a TRV fitted be sure to cap off rad valves, either half inch or three quarter inch caps.
Removing the radiator and replacing with a new one would be a better option.

Thanks for your reply.
So if I turn the two valves at each end it will stop water
entering the rad? Then use a rad key to drain the rad?
I saw on youtube a pair of pliers should be ok to use to turn the valves off.
