hi all,
i've been asked by a family member if it's possible to place a double panel radiator (900mm w x 600mm h) near a gas meter. the gas meter sits approx 1.2m up the wall (we're in a basement room) so the rad would be placed under the meter. i'm not comfortable doing this, the gas pipes run upwards so there's no risk of hitting a pipe when drilling the holes for the brackets, but this seems so wrong. i'm not sure what the building regs are for this, so if anyone out there can confirm, i'd really appreciate it - thank you.

Not a problem as long as you don't hot the pipe of course

Radiators work most efficiently under a window due to cool air coming in creating a convection current across the room

On a side wall there efficientcy is greatly reduced
