Quick question.
Just fitted a new towel radiator and it wont get hot.
The pipe conected to the TRV is warm but the radiator is cold.

Also i think i may of filled it up wrong, i filled it via the lockshield valve not the TRV. I would of thought that you shouldnt be able to fill it by the return?

fill it what way you like. they all link.
is the trv fully open ? is it an old trv or new ?

Its an old one, ive had it switched off and the radiator removed for months.

Ive bleed all the radiators and topped up the system, thinking the TRV might be busted.

TBH i cant remmember if the old radiator ever worked

remove the trv head and try giving the trv body a little bash on the side with a pair of grips as this might free up the pin and also try working the pin up and down. This might release the pin if its stuck in the off position. Also when filling up the rad via the system open both the lockshield and trv and bleed from bleed point making sure the system is back up to 1.5 bar if a combi!

If this doesnt work and still no heat then a new trv is needed!
