Hi
Just had my boiler serviced but now really weird things are happening. Randomly through the house:
1. Some radiators are nice and warm
2. Some are completely cold
3. Some are only warm about a foot from the valve side (in my case right to left)
4. With all valves fully open throughout the house, there is the most terrible noise coming from the pipes. It ranges from sloshing, squelching, lapping, splashing - basically all the noises water can make save a full on tidal wave. It sounds like how I imagine it would sound to be inside a sinking ship.
I don't know much at all about plumbing, but I did know to try bleeding them, which I did to about 4 of the downstairs ones. Just a very light hiss with only a tiny bit of bubbling water - I expected a great rush of air.
Also, there is a constant trickling of water into the radiators, like they are never filling up properly (don't know if they're meant to be full to the top)
OBVIOUSLY (before someone leaves a sarcastic comment) I need a plumber out, but is there anything else I can try before I reach for the phone and my cheque book?
