My heating works now A friend came round and we plugged a hose pipe into the draincock at the end of the radiators and pumped water into the system, bled each radiator until water came through and, finally, water burst out of the expansion feed into the cistern. So, I reckon that might have cleared the blockage!
It now works pretty much as it did before but it's less noisy, I guess because there's less air in the system now.
A couple of questions though:
1) The last radiator in a circuit of 6 takes much much longer to heat up than the 5th. The space between them isn't huge. Any ideas?
2) The pump seems to get quite hot. Is that normal?
close the valve then open it say 1 turn see how it goes if its cool open it another 1/2 turn
its all a bit try it and see the last one should be more or less full open
