Hi There,

My bath takes ages to flush and as it is whirlpool wife complains about cleaning it because of all dirt getting in airjet.
When following the waste pipe to its connection to the main waste duct. I can see that it is raising by at least one inch.
I think of two solution.
Raising the bath but it is incage into the wall and tiled all around therefore I would need to brake the wall and re-tile.
The other option is to connect the waste pipe and ensure a down slope all the time. The main duct pipe is cast iron, not easy to drill and I need to remove the actual drain pipe.
Can anyone help me and give me advise to get it right ?

is the main cast iron pipe in or outside the house? and if it is in can u acess it ?, if it is outside u should cut a timesaver branch into it and repipe it, this is fairly straightforward to do, however u need a grinder, and a core drill, make sure u wrap the plastic adaptors threads in ptfe tape before screwing it into the timesaver branch, to make sure u get the correct height for the branch what i do is open the bathroom window, stick a spirit level out and hold it level, measure the distance from the level to the bathroom floor, now take that height and add 100mm , measure down from the spirit level on the outside of the house now adding the 100mm and this is your point to drill the hole and it will bring u into the bathroom under the floorboard, thats the correct way and the way i do it, but once u have your height u could adjust it to suit yourself if eg u want to come in just above the floorboard, good luck

ok m8, after seeing that, the easiest option is to remove a course of tiles and bring the bath up, its either that or take the toilet back out, lift some floorboards and cut a section of the cast iron out and fit a new branch in a lower position than the original which indoors is alot more footery as u have a lot less space to work, its your call

who installed that mess ?

Never again I'll work with this company which bankrupt since.
Essex Carpentry.

The worst "builder" I ever faced. And you didn't see all.
They actually installed the bathroom while I was on a business trip in India. My wife was at home with young kids and couldn't check what was done.
I learnt my lesson
Now I have to pay for fixing what's not right.
